Jerad Langille, CPA, CA
After relocating to the Comox Valley in 1996, Jerad completed a number of courses in business administration at North Island College, eventually qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in the Comox Valley in 2004. From 1998 to 2001, he articled with the locally-based firm, Presley & Partners, and spent the next eleven years as a Controller for a local construction company. He brings his knowledge of financed growth, business acquisition, recapitalization and day-to-day process management learned through those years to his private client practice.
Jerad is married with two children. He is a dog lover whose furry companions can often be found keeping him company at the office. He is also a passionate sailor and has, along with other members of the Comox Bay Sailing Club, raced in many Swiftsure International Yacht Races, Van Isle 360 International Yacht Races and the 2006 Vic-Maui Race.
Jerad believes in giving back to his community and since 2005 he has volunteered with the RCMP as an Auxiliary Constable. In 2014 he joined the Comox Unit of the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue. Jerad is pleased to work with community groups like the Comox Bay Racing Club and the Comox Valley Toy Library Society on a Pro Bono basis helping them meet their objectives through financial reporting support.
Alison was born and raised in the beautiful Comox Valley with her large family and many friends. She has enjoyed living on the island and has always felt a connection to her home town and community. She lives on a beautiful farm where she devotes her spare time to her passion for horses.
Alison found an interest for Business and Accounting throughout her high school years at G.P. Vanier. She graduated in 2015 and has enjoyed expanding her knowledge through studies and internships. Alison is currently studying at North Island College to receive her degree in business Administration and Accounting.
Outside of the office, Alison lives an active, busy lifestyle and has a strong commitment to all her animals. Aside from life on the farm, Alison loves to ride her bike, go for hikes, swim and relax with her family.
Aimee realized Island life was in her blood after spending a year in Cranbrook, BC, attending the College of the Rockies for Dental Assisting. Being raised in the Comox Valley, surrounded by beautiful scenery, great (if rainy) weather and the ocean, had left its mark. Happily, she landed back on the Island by way of Victoria. There she lived for a number of years, working as an office manager and dental assistant for dental practices.
In 2005 the opportunity arose for her to return to the Comox Valley. Switching gears from the dental industry into accounting she took a position as an office manager and file preparer for a local accounting firm. Three years later, that firm merged with a national accounting firm and Aimee took on more substantial duties as an accounting technician. For the next eight years, she gained valuable experience working with small businesses, medical/dental professionals, corporate and personal tax clients.
When not working, Aimee likes to take advantage of all that the Comox Valley, and Vancouver Island, has to offer including hiking the numerous parks with her camera to photograph their gorgeous scenery or taking road trips with friends to explore even more of the Island.
Helen Doheny, CPA
Helen has lived in the Comox Valley for over 20 years and feels very lucky to have been able to raise her two daughters here and take part in the many opportunities that are available in sports, dance and the arts!
When she first moved to the Comox Valley Helen became the Controller of a small hotel which over the ten years she was involved, grew into a world-famous Hotel and Spa with almost 200 employees. After that, Helen branched out into her own Public Practice firm to use her experience to assist small business owners. She finds it really makes a difference when working with clients to have worked directly in business so that she fully understands the daily issues that are being faced. Helen enjoys working with each of her clients, providing advice throughout the year and being a part of their business team. She is excited to have joined Jerad at Langille and Company and to have the added expertise of everyone at the office to offer to her existing and new clients.
